Bonding

Bonding is a tooth-colored material applied and adhered to the surface of the tooth without reducing the structure of the tooth in most cases. Dr. Obiokovitz or Dr. Tauschek will sculpt the material to create a natural-looking tooth, correcting chipped, broken and discolored teeth and in some cases, gaps. Bonding is less expensive than veneers but doesn’t last as long and it can also stain. A benefit of bonding is that, generally, the natural structure of the tooth can be maintained.

Q: I just want my smile to look good. What are some options to help the appearance of my smile?
A: You are not alone. Most people want to have a nice smile since it is the first thing others notice about you. You may be interested in a few minor adjustments or you may have concerns that need more attention. Some smiles can be enhanced with simple whitening or bonding treatments. Other smiles need porcelain veneers, crowns or bridges; gum contouring; periodontal therapy or a combination of all these techniques. Dr. Tauschek will suggest a treatment plan for you based on your goals, your areas of concern and on the overall condition of your oral health.

I have always had a great experience during my dental visit. The staff are nice, professional and informative. Keep up the good work!
